The fundamental distinction between Therapeutic massage and other forms of body work is the fact that it is performed on persons who presented injuries, trauma or chronic diseases diagnosed (most of the time) by doctors or chiropractors. Therapy massage focuses on parts, systems and organs of the body using direct and indirect (reflex) methods of treatment.
